Photo Details


Get the details of a photo.

To assemble a photo URL, combine the response's prefix + size + suffix. Ex:

size can be one of the following, where XX or YY is one of 36, 100, 300, or 500.

  • XXxYY
  • original: the original photo's size
  • capXX: cap the photo with a width or height of XX. (whichever is larger). Scales the other, smaller dimension proportionally
  • widthXX: forces the width to be XX and scales the height proportionally
  • heightYY: forces the height to be YY and scales the width proportionally




This endpoint supports userless or user authentication.

Supported Description
Userless required unless OAuth token is provided. A valid Client ID and Secret in the query string of each request. Eg. &client_id=XXXX&client_secret=XXXX
User required unless Client ID and Secret are provided. A valid OAuth access token in the query string of each request. Eg. &oauth_token=XXXX

Response Fields

Field Description
id A unique string identifier for this photo.
createdAt Seconds since epoch when this photo was created.
prefix Start of the URL for this photo.
suffix Ending of the URL for this photo.
height Height of this photo in pixels.
width Width of this photo in pixels.
visibility Can be one of public (everybody can see, including on the venue page), friends (only the poster's friends can see), or private (only the poster can see)
source If present, the name and url for the application that created this photo.
user If the user is not clear from context, then a user is present.
venue If the venue is not clear from context, then a venue is present. For more robust venue information (photos/tips/etc.), please see our venue details endpoint.
tip If the tip is not clear from context, then a tip is present.
checkin If the checkin is not clear from context, then a checkin is present.
